AggLayer: More than a Bridge

Hi, Hubbers. If you worked on past tasks about the Bridging Solution that the AggLayer brings you know a thing or two about what it can do, and let’s be clear on this topic: AggLayer is NOT JUST a Bridge.

You will make a Maxipost or an X Thread to present the multiple solutions that Polygon brings with the AggLayer, not only Bridging.

What you should know by now

At the core, the AggLayer is a decentralized protocol comprising a common bridge and a ZK-powered proof validation and aggregation mechanism. It aims to serve as a single environment unifying EVM and non-EVM chains, unlocking fragmented liquidity while retaining Ethereum’s security properties via ZK proofs with seamless UX.

In other words, if you’ve ever used a bridge , the AggLayer seeks to become a bridge for moving assets to and from other EVM and non-EVM chains. Polygon’s solution does this in an orderly and quick fashion but it also accomplishes many things in the meantime.

There are Security, Speed and Transaction Cost advantages that take Polygon to a better shape with AggLayer. You will do your Research and make your Thread.

Guide:

  • To start your research, use this link from the Polygon Blog:

  • Create a Maxipost of minimum 200 characters (if you’re an X Premium account holder) or make a Thread of minimum 5 posts to present your point of view.

  • We recommend using visual aids to help in your explanation. Use only the Polygon Media kit for it.
